This is why People Tank

May 31, 2010 at 04:15PM View BBCode

The BHL draft was just revealed, it's mediocre except for [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?mode=player&playername=nobody&id=7500482]this[/url] .

There is the prime example of why people tank, the difference between Ratzer and the next best player in the draft is just silly .

that, and there is no backlash from the fans when you do.

And to think [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=7181191]This guy[/url] was the #1 overall pick in that same league 3 seasons ago.

Never seen two that good that close together. Usually you get a pitcher like that it's at least 10 years before you see another.

Sadly even with Stirnweiss Philly are still in line for a top 5 pick .

Must be some awful offense if that couldn't do better than 8-17, but then how does one explain 20-2 the next year?

The rest of the team is 45-77 .

And that league is wacky anyway. Ratings in there do not seem to equate to ratings in other leagues. The performance for alot of would be 'stars' can be all over the place from year to year.

It's because everybody is trying to win Kyle . That's also why you hardly ever see teams win more than 110 games in the league as well .

When your top players get to play 24-48 games a year against teams that win 40-50 games a year the stats go up . The BoHo rarely has more than one 100 loss team per year and hardly ever has a team lose more than 110 games, only 3 times in the past decade.

Check the stats of the guys posting huge numbers in your other leagues and see what their numbers are against teams winning less than 50 games, that's where the big numbers come from.

Interesting. Never really thought of it that way.. I figured it had to do with our injury system/minor league system coupled with Variable development which is what made everything wacky.

We had one team win 100 in the EDL this past season (exactly 100), and no teams tanking.

We had no one hit 35 HRs, only 2 guys hit over .320, 2 guys won 21 games, no one else over 19, 4 SPs with ERAs under 3.00.

roosters is on to something. We have a no tanking policy, so no teams throw WW trash in to their pitching staffs or lineups, preventing Ruthian stats.
