yeah, I couldn't even think of anything else to compare to it.
cowher's onside, but they were losing 20-10 if I remember right.
gibb's decision to start timmy smith.
the ref's decision to call PI on benny barnes. (sorry)
I'm stumped to come up with anything else.

None of those caused the wonderful shot of Peyton Manning looking utterly pissed. Due to his whole "I'm Peyton Manning, what do you think you're doing? I'm Peyton Manning, I'm supposed to get the ball now." mentality he has on field.

yessir.
on the int, he immediately went to his receiver and tried to assess blame.
and that was a clip and should have been called back to about the 40.

Well the throw wasn't good but receivers can't get beat to the spot. Its something that a pro receiver ought to know.

i wasn't insulting him, just saying what happened. I saw him nodding agreement on the sideline with him a few moments later.

i didn't think that was out of line. i did think leaving the field without shaking hands was kind of a douchy thing to do. kind of like throwing his o-line under the bus after the lost to pittsburgh that year the steelers won.

I don't believe he could have made his way to brees in all the hoopla, do you?
it looks like controlled mayhem to me.
I've never seen the opposing baseball team makes it's way to out and interrupt the scrum going on at the pitcher's mound after the final out of the WS.
hockey's the only major team sport that does it after everything, right? that's one of the things i respect about the sport. after all the hard hits, there's the handshake.
teams congratulate each other in the reg season and the playoffs, but the SB is just hysteria. I can't fault Peyton for walking off the field and leaving that celebration behind him.

Hockey players have a very very odd love-hate relationship with one another. During playing time, you have every single person wearing the opposing team's uniform. After the game, you have a certain comradery knowing you play that extremely demanding sport - goalies in particular.
I'd hope Peyton eventually congratulates them and says "Hey, today, they went out there, we both gave it our best and they came out on top." As he claims he plans to.

i don't know. i do know he didn't try. i felt he should have. of course, as cubsfan points out, as a hockey player myself i see that as a matter of course occurence. perhaps i overestimate things.

From cubs link:
"I certainly know how it was three years ago when we won . . . " Manning said. "There's the stage being set up, and the celebration, and it's time for the Saints to celebrate. It's their field. They deserve the moment.
"But I certainly congratulate all their players and the Saints organization. I will speak to Drew Brees, speak to Sean Payton, and they deserve all the credit."
I'm not a Manning defender, but I think we can give him a pass on this one.

Nah, him and all his commercials can continue to cry while becoming the Atlanta Braves of the NFL :P

maybe if he spent some more time learning how to tackle instead of making fruit salads he'd have more superbowls like that guy Tom Brady :)
heh, I've been silent on this and obviously had to come out and say something!:)

only pats fans can manage to still be condescending and arrogant a month after their team got blown out of a home playoff game. in the first round.

I probably should delete this just to avoid answering people who think it's really a debate.
I'm going to a DTA meeting...
