1970's

So here's how the 70's ended up. Hit up the numbers as I do and look at the decade that Pittsburgh had! Baltimore had won 1002 games in the 50's and Pittsburgh won 1030 in the 70's. They had only 2 losing seasons in 1970-71 and only 3 seasons with less than 100 wins in 1970-72! Pittsburgh has already continued it into the 80's!
The 70's saw Baltimore's 5th and 6th (1971/1976) Championships as well as being only 1 of 3 teams to have a World Series in all 3 decades (Baltimore, Boston & Detroit). The decade also saw Pittsburgh's 1st through 4th (1973, 75, 78 & 79) World Series Championships. Detroit got their 3rd and 4th Championships (1974 & 1977) and Boston (1972) and Philadelphia's (1970) 3rd. 1969 saw Cincinnati's first playoff appearance and in 1978 one of the last two teams without playoff appearance got their chance in Brooklyn's Wild Card finish. Washington is the last team in the JJL to not have reached the playoffs, however they had the 4th best record in the 70's and finished 3rd in the AL 5 times.

Milwaukee 735 885
Brooklyn 660 960
New York AL 548 1072
Baltimore continued it's JJL dominance with a 900+ win decade in the 70's and with their first 6 wins in 1981 they are 100 wins shy of becoming the first team in the JJL to 3000 wins (currently at 2909). Even though St. Louis is almost 10 years from their last playoff appearnace, they still hold 2nd best record in JJL history. Pittsburgh has climbed into 4th best JJL record with their 1030 wins in the decade of the 1970's. What will the 80's bring? 1980 saw the last baseball game for an AL team in Chicago as they moved to Oakland. Will more teams move across the country? Will Washington break into the playoffs? Will Pittsburgh continue it's streak of 100 win seasons (currently at 8, previous record was 6 seasons New York AL Sappers 1960-65)? Will Baltimore continue to add to its win total? How many other teams will eclipse 3000 wins this decade? Many fun things to see in the 80's.

Well going through a rocky time but right on the cusp. Got some nice young players I can build on.

Wow, I looked at the Prestige rankings today and my team is second to last. As I am soon to be rebuilding, I will likely lose a good bit more before I start winning. Brooklyn and Pittsburgh will likely both have at least 3 or 4 more seasons of dominance before I can crack the top two.
