This upgrade will help database performance. We are hopeful it will help website performance, particularly the few times per day when the site becomes slow and services need to be restarted.
Please plan accordingly for this outage if you need to access your teams.

We are going to upgrade our database and database connectors on Wednesday night/Thursday morning starting around midnight. The site may be unavailable during this time. We hope it will not take more than 1 hour.
This upgrade will help database performance. We are hopeful it will help website performance, particularly the few times per day when the site becomes slow and services need to be restarted.

Note we will also have an outage tonight at midnight to fix a bug related to Stadiums and news display.Tyson

We've been archiving one of our bigger database tables today in anticipation of these upgrades. Better safe than sorry. I apologize for the performance issues today.Tyson

I bet you don't miss staying up late to do these, although maybe you're up that late anyway.

Ok, the upgrade is complete. Please let me know if you see any problems. Everything looks good to me. If it looks like an emergency, please mark it as urgent so I can check right away.
We're going to restart the web service one more time in about 5 minutes. After that, we should be up for good.

Being on the west coast sure helps! Of course, my hosting company is in Virginia, so it sucks to be them. But it's what we pay the big bucks for.Ok, the upgrade is complete.
