Waiving from the Majors
October 12, 2009 at 10:27PM View BBCode
Ok, I've spent quite a bit of time working on this and think I have it straight. Here's how it will work:
- You can now waive players from the majors, or from the minors, by using the Promote/Demote page under GM. I'm going to change the name of this menu choice to Promote/Waive.
- When you waive a major leaguer, he will first need to clear option waivers. If he clears option waivers, he will then go on regular waivers. If he isn't claimed on regular waivers, he becomes a free agent.
Let me know if you see anything strange and please help me in testing this. It required quite a bit of code, so I want to make sure we didn't miss anything.
I'm going to run through some games now to make sure my tests worked properly.

This is so great T, thanks so much.

With the roster at 40 I attempted to waive a player before taking another off the DL, it would not allow me to waive him because my roster would be less than 40 players.

Ok, I'll look into adding the same DL logic we have on the promote/demote screen to this page as well.
