Man, the NL is looks tough! Look at the teams: Stl, Cincinnati, Philly, Pitt, the starting pitching of Chicago. My goodness!
You can never tell what will happen in a series, but going strictly by what's on paper, it could be a while before the AL wins another championship. My goodness!

Yeah the NL is going to be a real donnybrook. Last season was bad enough, this season is going to be a real free for all. Congrats btw on the WC victory Mike. Don't see too many teams get a championship in SD with only 88 wins, and one of those being a play-in win. Please don't take that the wrong way, personally I think it is pretty cool.

Won't (didn't) take it the wrong way. Making it into the playoffs was improbable enough given that I was two games out of the wild card spot with two games left in the season, but to beat Philly in the play-in game and then beat StL in the NLCS was even more improbable. Not to short change the other NY, but winning in the WS was less improbable given how tough the NL is. I was surprised ... I was actually making plans for what I thought would be my #10 draft spot when the improbable happened. Nonetheless, I'm excited and glad it happened as it did. ABE hasn't always been my friend. In this past playoff, my guys performed. Thanks for the congrats.
