Did you notice that ABE deprived Mays of any shot at a .400 BA by getting him injured for the rest of the season? He will go down as having the highest single season BA in TRL history(.397).July 05, 2009 at 06:59PM View formatted

I agree. With nine games remaining in the season, I would have loved to see Mays have a chance to bat .400 for the season. What a shame. He has had one of the truly great seasons in TRL history.July 05, 2009 at 10:22PM View BBCode
Mays loss has really affected the rocks ,they are 2-8 in the last ten and fell in the series to Balt which probably seals their fate this season ,but yes not getting the chance to finish out a possible 400 ba wow ,Will he still get MVP?July 06, 2009 at 03:29AM View BBCode
He's like 400 votes ahead of Cauthon... who is the only guy remotely close to him in MVP voting. I think Mays' year has been the best individual effort that I've seen thus far. Only Mickey Page's season last year really compares (AL triple crown... 1 HR from TRL triple crown).July 07, 2009 at 04:36AM View BBCode
I would think that Mickey Mays would hold on to the MVP lead, with only 6 games left and he's still 374 'votes' up. Looks like he's got more of a lock on the award than his brother Grant in the NL, who is up by only 190. I guess it depends on how those votes are figured.Pages: 1
