Ouch, 5 runs allowed in the 8th inning

I can beat that. The Commies gave up 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth to lose a game 6-5 earlier this week. When you're watching the play-by-play come up a play at a time, that's a real kick in the gut.

So, Rick, how are you liking this so far? Its interesting. I think some of the best features may be ones we don't get exposed to (what happens in the offseason), but so far it hasn't been too bad.

I can't find where it says how much Dynasty seasons cost. Do recall where you saw that info?

Click on "Rule Book". It's 7.95 per season. Sounds like a bargain. BTW thanks for the trade offer. I liked the the name change from Bill Clinton to Slick Clintonov. Pudge is a pretty good CF for me. I also had a gut wrenching game the other day. Colin Powell, my closer came in and gave up 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th and NO ONE came in from the Bullpen. That sucked!!

I really enjoy this concept. I wish my minor leaguers were improving faster -- I need Bo Badenov to come up and take over right field while Duke Lenin is slumping and H.R. Trotsky is on the DL for another game; but that's just like real baseball, isn't it?

My only active team at CFB is 8 games below .500 in the Seabreeze, so I'm actually spending more time trying to improve the Commies.

$7.95 is a great price for all the bells and whistles you get in this league. Some guy on another thread made a reference to Grand Slam Baseball, which looks like a similar concept, but nowhere on their website does it say how much it costs to play a league. I'm leaning strongly towards getting into a Dynasty League after I learn a little more about the ins and outs here.

Here's hoping Pudge has a good season. Slick won for me today.

GSB currently is free until the new site opens up, after that I think it will be $4-$5 per season, with discounts on multiple seasons. In the origional days of GSB it was a free site, then with more improvements and a better server it became a pay site, the commish charged $5 per season $18 for 6 seasons and $50 for 16 seasons, The commish sold the site a couple months ago to some long time GSB members, and they are now making even more improvements, and keeping it free until the new game is ready to launch. On the homepage you can get the comissh's email, or you can just hit the join link if you want to get a team to try out. League B is the most active and compettitive right now, but we are full, however once the new site launches all the leagues will pick up and you will understand why GSB blows any other sim site away. I suggest trying to get a team now, so you understand all the ins and outs of the game before the new site launches. If you need any questions answered I can help you, my username in there is Bossman. If you want to check out the game real quick loging using the following info username:sweetness2001 password:123456 This is an old team of mine in a league that is no longer running, please don't change the password so other people can also see it.

Cool, thanks for the info. I went there last week and signed up. It said all leagues were full and they'd send me an email when they had a new league ready. So I'm just waiting...

I've actually got two guys in the minors I wouldn't mind bringing up - I just don't have room for them. One of them pitched pretty well when my closer went down for 15 games.

Actually I just realized that the username and password I gave you doesn't work, the new commish must have deleted the old leagues, sorry. You can still get a feel by checking the demo button, however the demo tour only shows you what the game used to be before the origional changeover. The game is much more advanced now and much more involved. Just try to get a team to test it out, you'll probably be placed in league G in which I own the Cinci Reds, we have about 12 teams avail. in that league right now so you shouldn't have any trouble getting a team, if you do let me know and I'll talk to the commish.

I just emailed the commish

I emailed the commish to try and get you a team, I'll let you know when I get his reply, there shouldn't be any trouble.

If anyone else wants a team let me know. Thanx!!!

Cool, thanks. I was surprised that I hadn't heard back after I signed up, but if they're transitioning, that makes a little more sense.
