I vote yes for Stockwell. Kind of a shame he retired this past off season. He'd certainly had reach the 300 win mark with one more season.

For the record, I vote "yes" for Mike Stockwell. He dominated for many years and ranks 2nd in all-time wins, 5th in career ERA, and 6th in career WHIP. The only guys with better numbers are already in the HOF.

No joke, Arturo, you look like you got hit hard with retirement this year. I only lost guys I picked up in hopes of adding mentoring for the off season improvements... which didn't work. Another failed experiment... lol.

Isn't that like back-to-back seasons where you've lost a top 5 all time pitcher?

Deep, the last good pitchers that I lost to retirement was in 68, my second year as owner..Lights Out and Nolan Fry. Fry's in the Hall with 322 victories, and Lights Out should be. He had 286 saves and 26 blown saves. Don't know why I didn't nominate him. Have to do it next year. Arturo

I must have been thinking of someone from another league then.

Speaking of huge... and I mean HUGE... closer numbers. The CHN team I had in the Richie Ashburn League for a couple of years had a guy by the name of Lindy McDaniel that spent basically his entire career as a closer. I'm sure he's the SD All Time save leader with 720+ Saves. Don't know how to look that up though.

Check out Marino Phillippe of Boston in our own league....He's at 724 saves and still active!!
