Two Questions

September 17, 2008 at 01:18AM View BBCode

1. I am guessing the team I inherited was very good at one point, but is now old and fading. Is that right?

2. Do players skill ever go down as they age? Just curious, thanks.

1. Yes, NYA was very good very recently. Three seasons ago, NYA won 107 games and clinched the wild card spot. You may view prior season standings by using the year drop-down menu to select prior years. Other prior year information, such as individual statistics and all star voting/awards, is available, too.

2. Yes, once a player reaches age OS 34, his age in the off season, his skills begin to erode. The effect is realized when the off season process is conducted (players retire, veterans weaken, and younger players on the major league roster convert improvement chances and improve). In 1969, Chad Coleman, now 35 and beginning to slow down, was the Cy Young award winner with a 23-7 record. In the two years before that, I believe he was even better.

Thanks.

One more:

If I have a reliever I need to rest - how do I make sure he doesn't pitch if he can ONLY be a reliever. I know I can hide someone as a starter if he is a long reliever, but if he can only pitch in relief, is there a way to hide him.

(I really don't want to read all the help threads for this, so I am being lazy and asking.)
