Available Private & Speed League Teams

June 22, 2005 at 08:46PM View BBCode

This thread is to note the current private & speed league teams which need replacement or expansion owners. Please read the league rules and contact the league commissioner if your interested in a team. These leagues run 6, 9, 12, or 15 games per day and each term runs for approximately 8 months, at which time you can decide wether or not to renew for another term. Speed leagues use the same basic rules as dynasty leagues. Each private league typically has more league specific rules on certain things.

Replacement teams are taken over as is, mid-season. Included in your fee is the next month term for the normal cost, as well as the remainder of the current term for free. Expansion teams are generated using all the players from the teams which are leaving the league at the end of the term. These players will be included in an expansion draft and distributed equally between all the new teams.

The post below has a link to the page which list the teams available and more information about the league as well as the payment link for the available teams.

Fees for normal private leagues are based on the games per day played and are currently as follows:

6 games (8 season terms): $45 (replacement & renewal) / $35 (expansion team)
9 games (12 season terms): $50 (replacement & renewal) / $40 (expansion team)
12 games (14 season terms): $55 (replacement & renewal) / $45 (expansion team)
15 games (17 season terms): $60 (replacement & renewal) / $50 (expansion team)

Finally, we're always looking for teams in our subscription leagues. These leagues charge a subscription monthly. Your first 10 days are free, then it's $12 for the first 3 months and $6.25 a month after that. These are good for owners who want the pace of private leagues without the big upfront fee.

Available Teams

July 05, 2005 at 07:09AM View BBCode

Private & Speed leagues run in approximate 8 month terms before renewal. For each of these teams, please read the rules before committing. Fees are as stated in the payment link as per our rates above unless it is a prize league. Prize leagues will have a slightly higher fee (which is included in the payment link) that is used to award prizes like discounts or free renewals to owners based on various factors. For expansion teams, unless otherwise noted, there will be an expansion draft which will include all the players from the teams departing the league.

We also suggest contacting the league commissioner either before or after you've joined so he is aware of you and can inform you of anything special you might need to know about. The various commissioners can also be a big help to newer users, giving them a few tips.

Please check the link below for a list of expansion and replacement teams available:
http://www.simdynasty.com/privateavailable.jsp

The link above will redirect you to a page which lists the available teams and has links to the league message board where you'll find the topped rules thread, a link to u2u the commissioner, and to purchase the team.

We may occasionally have leagues which require approval before joining. Those leagues will be posted below if there are any.

Subscription Leagues

Teams in these leagues are also taken over as is. We're fairly constantly replacing one or two owners. If your looking for the pace of a private league, without the upfront cost, these are right for you. If there are no teams currently available, we recommend asking the commish to put you on the waiting list.

The OCL is a tiered/ladder league, similar to international soccer leagues. There is a ML, AAA, AA, and A league. The top four teams each season move up a division, and the bottom four move down. Seasons run 9 games per day.

The RonSL is a regular 16 team league. Seasons run 12 games per day.

Due to the nature of the subscription payment process, you'll need to contact the commissioner for approval and a payment link to these leagues.

There is also a forum to discuss the available private league teams, or talk about getting a group together to start a new league.

You'll occasionally find advertisements for various leagues there with teams available, most importantly the teams available in the two subscription leagues.

Rookie League

November 26, 2007 at 09:54PM View BBCode

Hi, for those who are interested in joining one of the multiseason leagues we're starting recruitment of rookie owners. This is the first time we've done a rookies league which will be limited to those with none or minimal pay league experiences. Its a chance to try out the multi season formats without having to play with vets who know a lot more about the game than you do.

Additionally, all owners who would like can have a mentor. I have 16 owners lined up to mentor the owners of this league on a one-on-one basis for any questions you have in regards to gameplay.

The moderator of this league will be robbie_d_11_05 who, like you, has never played in the multi season leagues.

This league will play 6 games/day and costs $55 for 8 months of play which should run you 8 seasons.

If interested, send a u2u to robbie_d_11_05 or myself (you can do that by clicking the little u2u button at the bottom of this post.

I think this is the correct spot to post this but I was wondering if there is anyway to start another 64 team league like the Orlando Cepeda league? I'm assuming the moderators can help with this question and I would love to be a part of something like that. Thanks.

You should post that sort of thing in the Private league forum.

I don't think we would have enough demand to start antoher one of those. But the OCL is constantly looking for replacements. u2u Caseystengel and he will put you on the waiting list, which is often empty.

How often do new dynasty leagues start?
Admin

We no longer start new Dynasty leagues.

We usually start new Speed and Private leagues when this list is empty:

Are there plans to put the Moonlight Graham open teams onto the list? I think that it is in error that they were not on the list some time ago...

Hello,

I'm certain I paid for a team on the "privateavailable" list. In the FRANK THOMAS LEAGUE I wanted to take over CHICAGO KNOCKERS. For some reason, I cannot seem to access a team.

Thanks,

David

You paid under dbowman2. I see the credits there. You just need to login and go to the private available page to claim the team.

Thank you for the reply. I now have access.

Out of morbid curiosity, why was the decision made to not form any more Dynasty Leagues? Are they just identical to Private leagues, but with less of a tailored rule set?

I just signed up for an expansion team in the Dennis Eckersley league and I can't find the league anywhere in the forums. Can anyone help?

max - I see credits on your account, but no team in this league. You should return to the private available page to claim one of the teams.

I believe this decision was market driven due to a weaker desire for "3 game per day" leagues.

Whenever Dynasty renewal occurs the teams available alwys have to be discounted so it's not a great business decision to create more of these leagues.
