What is up with Washington- Chicago trades?

March 30, 2008 at 06:25AM View BBCode

Two 35 year olds for two emerging stars last week. This week another emerging star for a draft picks and a crap 25 year old. This is just recently. What is going on? I have to think there is some collusion happening.

I see that you have solved the case, Detective O. Since you have taken the time to allege collusion between myself and Washington, I will respond in kind.
Trade #1 - Washington initiated the trade involving Backstop-Kincade for lajeski-Baker and I accepted.

Trade #2- Milt Browne for a 25 of, 1st round pick and a second round pick.Washington wanted the picks and the player was a throw in.

Trade #3- Sandy Koufax aka Jake Rome for a 3rd round pick. Washington demoted the C rated control pitcher and I offered him a draft pick. Washington accepted.

He did put the trade offers up for advice on the main boards and nobody including myself responded to him. The third trade of Browne isn't that bad, he isn't going to be a star, but the draft picks aren't going to be that good, but he may luck into a deep draft and come out alright. The trade of Kincade and Backstop are questionable, I don't see what good it did Washington. A rebuilding team like his should hold on to decent young players until they are able to draft stars to replace them. It is Washington's 3rd? season and he should have a plan and idea of what he is doing by now. I guess we wait and see.

Well, I stand corrected. It is just an example of somebody going against all advice from a few months ago (namely that if you are rebuilding you don't trade your good young players for guys on the verge of retirement) and making his team worse.

Here is another anedote for ya, if you are unhappy with the standing and progress of your team, do some research and make some moves. We are all adults here and we all run are teams vastly different. In the Sim community, when you call out a team(s) for alleged COLLUSION, that is a pretty serious accusation. So please do your due diligence before you sland-text an owner(s). When you start a thread with What is up with the Washington-Chicago trades, five people respond but it is eventually read by many and the damage is done. Good luck.

If you are going to attempt to lecture me about anything, please learn how to spell. The word is a-n-e-c-d-o-t-e. And before you try to use words bigger than yourself, look them up on dictionary.com and find out what they mean.

I honestly don't give a hoot about the Sim community or the alleged collusion. My words were, "I have to think there is some collusion happening." No accusation, just my personal thought.

"we all run are teams vastly different." If you are an adult and you write that poorly, heaven help us.
"If you are unhappy with the standing and progress..." Who said anything about being unhappy. If you assumed that, perhaps you should do you own due dilligence because in the Sim community an accusation of uhappiness cuts to the bone, mr. adult.

When I started a thread with What is up with the Washington- Cicago trades, I wanted everyone to see them and respond. It is not just the two latest. In fact, I believe it was a trade between you two that got the whole "Help Ed Shwarbandonz not make any bad trades" thing going. There have been quite a few trades, few of them mutually beneficial. Often times players traded to Washignton end up on the waiver wire or back on your team.

Good luck. Isn't that swell.

Again, good luck with your team. By the way, Chicago is not spelled Cicago.

Oops, wait a second, I have found a second spelling error.....Washignton=
Washington. If you are an adult and this is how you spell, heaven help us. Really, this is getting very immature. Good luck.
