have we done something with the DT creation code on the main site recently? the leagues I'm in all seem to have a sever shortage of competent DT. I'm wondering if it's deliberate, bad luck or a glitch.

That is an understaement. very rarely in recent drafts have I seen skill set Dt's.

I've increased DT creation in Beta to address this but that change may not be on the main site yet. I'll check it out.Chris

Seems like since the age of those coming out of College has dropped 1-2 years, the Coverage/Blocking skills have really suffered in the Draft Classes and we don't have a real viable way through Drills to address it once they land on our Roster.

Any word on this? I've noticed in the WPFL that Run Coverage for DTs is almost non-existant. Of the 134 DTs in the WPFL, only 3 have Red Letter Run Coverage.Seems like since the age of those coming out of College has dropped 1-2 years, the Coverage/Blocking skills have really suffered in the Draft Classes and we don't have a real viable way through Drills to address it once they land on our Roster.

Of the 317 Defensive Tackles in the WPFL College System, the Highest Run Coverage is B+, and only 1 DT has B+ Run Coverage. There are 6 B Run Coverage Players, and about 2 dozen with B-.Did something happen to the DTs so they would stop generating Run Coverage?

it seems to be site-wide and I don't know what the reason is. maybe too many DT's are being moved to DE in college?

Seems these issues creeper up when the draft classes got younger.

One thing that seems right on the DT side - STR/TKL listed as 1 and 2 required skills in the game guide are always up to par in the drafts for the DT's the 3rd skill is never red.

In the FHFL 32 team premium league - It's non existent to see any run cover above B+ on the DT side in the drafts. And the league has 8 (A-) DT's on the complete set of players all past 25 and closer to 30 yrs of age. The younger age is probably not causing this as looking at the drafts each season other attributes are just fine and dandy on the DE side plenty of red letter draft prospect and currently 64 (A- to A+) run cover DE's in total. I'm currently working on a mock draft for the MAFL, a 32-team league. we're in playoffs, so I've gone through 27 teams (1-24, plus 3 with no 1st round pick), listing the 'need' areas for each. of those 27 to date, I've identified DL or DT as a need area for 20 of them.to me, that's indicative of an issue.
