Andy Johnson rushed for over a 100 yards and scored a touchdown as the New England Patriots won their first game of the season by defeating Acme. Up until this point the Pats total offensive output (including the preseason) was 12 points on 4 John Smith field goals. As satisfying as the win is, it needs to be taken in context as Acme was playing with fourth string and replacement players (sorry Keanu Reaves was not there). A celebration was held after the game at Foxboro, where 10,000 balloons were released in celebration, but none floated up as all were only half inflated.
