Powell, who reached 3,000 career hits earlier in the '93 campaign, was asked "what felt better ?" and replied quickly "the homer baby, c'mon a hit is just a hit but a 9th inning homer in game 7 - that's what every kid dreams of".

The Detroit Devastation downed the Brooklyn Bums in five games to capture the 1993 LTB World Series.
