A 3rd baseman for his first two years, Trlicek was moved to 1B in 1969 to take advantage of his great range and if there were Gold Gloves in SIM "Big John" would have won a bundle.
Trlicek was an 11 time All Star (8 first team selections) and two time MVP, he hit over 30 HRs 11 years in a row, over 100 RBIs 12 years in a row and had 200+ hits four times. He retires 6th in All Time Home Runs and 11th in RBI with over 1,000 extra base hits and an impressive 326 career steals to go along with his power and durability. He also owns 2 of the top ten single season Home Run marks with 49 in '72 and 46 in 1974.

The prototypical leadoff hitter, Geil scored 100 or more runs on 10 occasions, stole bases by the bushels and had solid power numbers (358 career homers).
Geil will probably best be remembered for his late career production, 600+ hits after decline, and his monster 1977 campaign when he won the MVP while hitting 40 home runs and driving in over 100 runs for the only time in his career.
A seven time 1st Team All Star selection, Geil retires 4th all time in runs scored, 9th in stolen bases and 10th in hits.
Like all the Devastation great of the '70s and early '80s both Trlicek and Geil have only one WS Ring - from the 1981 season.

Drafted fifth overall in 1963 Koster spent three years in the minors before his call up in 1966. The 1966 Rookie of the Year, Koster appeared in seven straight All Star games before missing in 1974, then appeared in 7 consecutive again from 1975-81. Koster was the MVP in 1976 and only his health kept him from ranking even higher in the league career totals.
At his peak Koster was maxed out in power both ways and in arm, maybe the ultimate catcher if his health had been red lettered as well. Koster played in the post season 10 times, but like all the great Detroit players of the '70s and early '80s has but one ring to show for his efforts from the 1981 Championship season.
